Q: I joined Maghrib in 3rd rakat. The Imam did sajda sahaw after doing a salaam. Should I do salaam before sajda sahaw with Imaam?

I did sajda sahaw with Imaam but didn’t do Salaam. So at end after compeleting remaining rakats I did sajda sahaw.
Was my Salat completed or incompelete?

A: It is correct for a Masbooq (late-comer who has missed a Rakaat) not to make Salaam with the Imaam when he makes Salaam for Sajdah Sahw. However, he should join the Imaam in Sajdah Sahw.

It is not necessary for the Masbooq to make Sajdah Sahw again when making up the missed Rakaats. However, the Salah will be valid.

If a Masbooq does make the Salaam for Sajdah Sahw with the Imaam mistakenly, then it would be necessary for the Masbooq to make Sajdah Sahw after completing the missed rakaats.

And Allah knows best
